About me...

I'm an Electronic Services Librarian with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL. As an undergraduate I earned degrees in Fine Arts & Biology, then worked in the computer industry as a consultant and web application developer for a number of years before returning to school for my MLIS. This will be my first time attending CIL, and I'm thrilled to be going! Here's a picture of me at Schwab's Drugstore in Memphis, standing in front of the anti-jinx powder and various other remedies. You can contact me at mccane99(at)erau.edu.

People I'd like to meet...

  • People working with ColdFusion
  • People working with Voyager 6.x
  • People successfully utilizing IM as a reference tool
  • People working in specialized academic libraries
  • People working on usability studies and interface design
